Information on Public Administration Programme
History
Our faculty is established with Business, Economics and International Relations departments dependently Erciyes University with the council of ministers’ decision on 01.09.1997 and the official journal publication on 03.09.1997. In 2001-2002 education year departments of economics and in 2003-2004 year evening education of economy department started matriculation. Our faculty connected Nevşehir University Rector ship that established with the 29.05.2007 official journal publication and the law no of 26536. The course language of programme is Turkish.
Qualification Awarded
Students who have successfully completed this programme are deserve to be awarded bachelor’s degree diploma on public administration.

Specific Admission Requirements:
In our cuntry, it is required to succeed in Student Selection Examination (ÖSS) to deserve university education. For bachelor’s degree, this condition is enough to have. Students make university and programme decisions related their points. Then they send choosing forms to Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM). This institution is dependent to High Education Board (YÖK). ÖSYM gets these forms, groups applications depend on point type and put the points in order from high to low. After all these stages, place them one of their choice according to their lists. Choosing for foreign students is depending on the result of Foreign Student Examination (YÖS).
The documents that required in admission;
1- Diploma for high schools and their equivalents,
2- The placement result document.
Specific Arrangements For Recognition of Prior Learning
Recognition of prior learning process is still starting stage in Turkish Higher Education Board. So that, recognition of prior learning for all programmes of Nevşehir University haven’t started yet. But, in the beginning period of each term, proficiency exams are done for the lessons like Computer and English listed in education programme. Students who believed to have learning outputs of these lessons can attend proficiency exams. If they succeed in this exam, they become exempt for these lessons.
Qualification Requirements and Regulations
To deserve bachelor’s degree diploma on public administration, students must succeed all the courses of the programme (total 240 ECTS) at least 2.00 grade point average on 4.00.
Profile of the Programme
The main aim of this program is to gain students the information and ability to analyze, forecast and make the right decision on the public administration issues.
The mission of the Public Administration department is to bring personals having high administration quality in public sector, to produce studies that contribute academic development and to share the produced knowledge with related sectors.
Learning Outcomes of the Programme
About Informational Attainment (Theoretical, Factual)
Public Relations and Publicity graduated from the program, students in public and private sectors has wide business field. Graduates, public relations, marketing and sales departments, customer relations manager, advertising and promotion, in charge of public relations as responsible Besides, municipalities, associations, organizations, bar associations of institutions such as public relations departments and newspapers, magazines, radio, TV, in media can be employed in the media industry in general.
Access to Further Studies
Students who have successfully completed this programme can go on graduate education only if they pass ALES exam and have enough skill about English sufficiently.
Course Structure Diagram with Credits
For the current programme, it is required to have 30 ECTS lessons for a term.
Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading
There are one midterm and one final exam in every term for each lesson. Each exam’s contribution of succeed point is the weighted average of midterm exam (%40) and final exam (%60). Top point for every exam is 100. Students who have AA, BA, BB, CB, CC letter marks are counted as successful. DC and DD letter marks are conditioned successful marks. Students who have these two marks must have at least 2.00 grade points average to succeed the education process.
Graduation Requirements
To complete the programme successfully the students must have at least 2.00 grade points average on 4.00 and succeed dissertation.

Facilities
Education activities of department are maintained with 4 assistant professors, 1 associate professor and 4 research assistants. The lessons are also maintained in classes that 45 people capacity and have projection equipment. Department students can benefit from the library and computer lab which are all day opened freely.
